Greater Noida, September 30 (APAC Media): The One District, One Cuisine (ODOC) initiative emerged as a major attraction at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026, bringing the culinary identity of all 75 districts to a common platform. The showcase connected traditional cuisines and local food enterprises with domestic and international visitors, highlighting their potential for wider commercial opportunities.
ODOC Showcases Culinary Diversity of Uttar Pradesh
The ODOC hall remained a major draw throughout the five-day trade show, as visitors explored regional cuisines, traditional recipes, and locally produced food products from across the state.
The initiative showcased how Uttar Pradesh’s culinary heritage can extend beyond cultural preservation and become a platform for entrepreneurship, market access, and local economic growth.
Celebrity Chefs Add to ODOC Showcase
Celebrity chef-led master classes added a new dimension to the ODOC experience. Renowned chef Harpal Singh Sokhi and other chefs conducted live demonstrations that combined culinary skills, regional food traditions, and entertainment.
The sessions provided visitors with an opportunity to experience the state’s diverse food culture while also highlighting the scope for innovation and professionalisation within the food sector.
From Local Products to Global Markets
The focus on district-level products extended beyond cuisine at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2026. Traditional crafts, handloom products, brassware, carpets, leather products, and specialised agricultural products from across Uttar Pradesh were showcased to buyers and visitors.
MSMEs and Artisans Gain Direct Market Access
The trade show created opportunities for MSMEs and local artisans to engage directly with domestic and international companies. Several exhibitors received business orders, strengthening the focus on turning product showcases into commercial opportunities.
The business-to-business format allowed entrepreneurs to present their products directly to potential buyers and explore longer-term partnerships.
Building New Opportunities Around Local Heritage
The ODOC showcase also demonstrated the wider economic potential of Uttar Pradesh’s culinary and cultural assets. Opportunities span food processing, packaging, hospitality, tourism, branding, and retail, creating avenues for local enterprises to expand their market presence.
By bringing products from the state’s districts into a large international trade platform, the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2026 provided a direct link between local production and global demand. The approach also reinforced the role of MSMEs, artisans, and district-level enterprises in expanding Uttar Pradesh’s trade and export ecosystem.
