Greater Noida, September 30 (APAC Media): The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 concluded in Greater Noida with record business activity and global participation. The five-day event generated MoUs worth approximately Rs. 6,500 crore and potential business inquiries estimated at Rs. 15,500 crore. It also recorded nearly 5.99 lakh visitors and 41,500 B2B meetings.
Strong Growth Across Business Parameters
Held from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, UPITS 2026 brought together MSMEs, exporters, manufacturers, buyers, investors, and international delegations.
According to official data from the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), the trade show recorded 41,500 B2B meetings, compared with 31,650 in 2025, marking a 31.12% increase.
Foreign Buyer Meetings More Than Double
The Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM) emerged as a major driver of international business engagement at UPITS 2026. Meetings with foreign buyers increased from 6,050 in 2025 to 13,500 this year, representing a 123.1% rise.
MoU Value Rises 142%
One of the biggest gains was recorded in the estimated value of signed MoUs. The figure rose from Rs. 2,680 crore in 2025 to approximately Rs. 6,500 crore in 2026, representing a 142.54% increase.
Business inquiries also recorded significant growth. Potential business generated through inquiries during the trade show was estimated at Rs. 15,500 crore, compared with Rs. 12,500 crore last year, marking a 24% increase.
The results highlight the growing role of UPITS as a platform connecting Uttar Pradesh’s local businesses with domestic and international markets.
Six Partner Countries Expand UP’s Global Reach
UPITS 2026 also recorded a wider international presence than the previous edition. While Russia was the sole partner country in 2025, this year’s edition featured six partner countries: Russia, Austria, Japan, Singapore, Belarus, and Vietnam.
Manufacturing and Agri-Food Attract International Interest
Foreign delegations showed interest in sectors including manufacturing, IT, electronics, textiles, and agri-food processing. The expanded participation provided exporters and MSMEs with opportunities to explore new markets and establish business relationships beyond India.
Traditional industries and district-level products were also prominently showcased, strengthening the trade show’s focus on taking local products to global markets.
Policy and Industry Discussions Add to Trade Focus at UPITS
Nearly 20 knowledge sessions were organised during the event, covering policy and industry-related issues.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal participated in a FIEO session focused on the effective use of India’s Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) for global trade growth. The discussion examined opportunities for Uttar Pradesh’s exporters and MSMEs to leverage India’s expanding trade relationships.
With record B2B engagement, rising investment commitments, and wider international participation, UPITS 2026 concluded as a significant platform for strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s export ecosystem and supporting the state’s ambition of becoming a trillion-dollar economy.
