Noida, Sep 8 (APAC Media): Wipro has appointed Ujjwal Jyoti as Senior Vice President and Global GCC Practice Lead, bringing an extensive background in technology, consulting, global delivery and enterprise transformation to the role.
Jyoti will lead Wipro’s global Global Capability Centre (GCC) practice, with a mandate focused on strengthening the company’s GCC capabilities and supporting clients in developing technology and business operations aligned with their transformation priorities.
“GCCs have become an important part of enterprise strategy, moving beyond traditional delivery models to support innovation, transformation and specialised capabilities,” Jyoti said, according to the announcement.
Prior to rejoining Wipro, Jyoti was Managing Director and Partner at Accenture, where he worked on consulting and enterprise transformation initiatives. He previously served as a programme director at Wipro.
Earlier in his career, Jyoti held leadership and technology delivery roles at DXC Technology and Tech Mahindra. His experience spans GCC strategy, programme management, technology transformation and global delivery.
“Organisations are increasingly looking at GCCs as strategic platforms for building capabilities, accelerating transformation and accessing global talent,” an industry executive said. “The combination of consulting and technology delivery experience is particularly relevant as the GCC model continues to evolve.”
At Wipro, Jyoti is expected to work with clients on establishing and scaling GCC operations while helping strengthen capabilities across technology and business functions.
The appointment comes amid growing enterprise focus on GCCs as organisations expand global centres to support digital transformation, innovation, technology operations and access to specialised talent.
“Wipro’s GCC practice has an opportunity to support clients as they move toward more integrated and outcome-driven global capability models,” the executive added.
Jyoti’s return to Wipro marks another step in his career spanning technology services, consulting and global delivery, as the company continues to expand its capabilities in the GCC segment.
