New Delhi, Oct 13(APAC Media): Kawasaki has unveiled the Z300 in India. Bookings will open on October 19, 2026, while the company is expected to announce the price and full specifications on October 20.
The new Kawasaki Z300 uses the Ninja 300 platform but features a naked streetfighter design. It is expected to cost below Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom), potentially making it more affordable than the Ninja 300. Preview events are scheduled for Mumbai and Pune on October 18.
The Z300 is expected to use a 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. Based on the Ninja 300’s engine, it could produce around 39 PS of power and 26.1 Nm of torque. Kawasaki has not confirmed the final output figures.
The motorcycle is also expected to feature a TFT instrument cluster, replacing the Ninja 300’s semi-digital console. Other expected features include telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, disc brakes and dual-channel ABS. The final equipment list is yet to be confirmed.
Kawasaki Z300 Vs Ninja 300: What’s Different?
The biggest difference is the design. The Z300 features minimal bodywork and an upright riding position, while the Ninja 300 has full fairings and a sportier riding posture. Both are expected to share the same 296cc twin-cylinder engine and six-speed gearbox.
The Z300 could appeal to buyers looking for a streetfighter with twin-cylinder performance and updated instrumentation. Its expected price below Rs 3 lakh would also place it below the Ninja 300, which costs around Rs 3.34 lakh (ex-showroom), according to the figures cited in reports.
Kawasaki is expected to confirm the Z300’s price, specifications and variants on October 20. The final price and equipment will determine how it compares with other motorcycles in the segment.
