The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), chaired by the Prime Minister, approved the appointments of as many as five IAS officers.
Santosh Kumar Yadav (IAS) has been appointed as Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. Yadav is a 1995-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Presently, he is posted as Additional Secretary in the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education.
Ganji Kamala V Rao (IAS) has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Food Safety & Standards Authority of India under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Rao is a 1990-batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre. Presently, he is posted as Managing Director of India Tourism Development Corporation Limited (ITDC), a PSU under the Ministry of Tourism.
Hitesh Kumar S Makwana (IAS) has been named as Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Makwana is a 1995-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. Presently, he is posted in his home cadre.
Rajneesh (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner in the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. Rajneesh is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre. He is presently posted in his home cadre.
IAS officer Subhasish Panda has been appointed as Vice Chairman of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. Panda is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre. Presently, he is posted in his home cadre.
The ACC has also approved the appointment of A Neeraja (IFoS) as Additional Secretary of the Department of Fertilizers by temporarily upgrading the post held by her to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India as a measure personal to her. She is presently posted as Joint Secretary in the same Department.
