Chennai: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the Police department in Tamil Nadu, the M K Stalin led state government has transferred and posted 27 senior IPS officers on 5th of August.
2002 batch IPS officer Dr J Loganathan has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Madurai City. He was serving as the Additional CoP, Headquarters, Chennai.
2004 batch IPS officer N Kamini who is IGP, Civil Supplies CID (CS-CID), Chennai has been transferred and posted as the new Police Commissioner of Trichy City.
N Z Asiammal, who was the IG of the Economic Offenses Division, has now taken over as the IG of Chennai Police. While Sathyapriya, TNPSC Group – I officer belonging to the 1997 batch and was conferred IPS rank later, has taken over the post of IG of the Economic Offenses Division, which he has been in charge of till now.
