Chandigarh: The Punjab government transferred 18 IAS and two Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officers, with immediate effect, according to an official order from the Department of Personnel, Government of Punjab.
IAS Vikas Pratap Singh serving as the Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, from the 1996 batch, has been transferred and posted as the Principal Secretary of the Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training.
Singh will be taking this charge from Devinder Pal Singh Kharbanda, from the 2007 batch, who has been further given the charge of Director, Industries and Commerce, taking charge from IAS officer Puneet Goyal. Kharbanda will also be serving the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Investment Promotion and CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion.
IAS officer Ajoy Kumar Sinha, from the 1996 batch, who had been serving as the Principal Secretary, Finance and in an additional charge of Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, has been posted as the Principal Secretary, Finance.
IAS officer V.K. Meena, from the 1997 batch, was serving as the Principal Secretary, Printing & Stationery, and has been transferred as the Principal Secretary, Social Justice Empowerment and Minorities against a vacant post with the additional charge of the Principal Secretary, Printing & Stationery.
IAS officer Ajoy Sharma, who has been posted as the Secretary of Local Government, has been appointed Administrative Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, replacing IAS officer Vivek Pratap Singh with an additional charge as the Administrative Secretary, Local Government.
IAS officer Kamal Kishor Yadav, from the 2003 batch, was serving as the Secretary, School Education, and has been transferred as the Administrative Secretary, School Education with the addition charge as the Administrative Secretary, Higher Education and Languages relieving Jaspreet Talwar, IAS of this charge.
IAS officer of the 2004-batch, Arun Sekhri, who was serving as the Commissioner, Patiala Division, Patiala, will now be serving as the Commissioner of the Ferozepur Division, Ferozepur. Sekhri will be taking charge from IAS officer Daljit Singh Mangat, from the 2005 batch. Mangat has been newly assigned the post of Commissioner of Patiala Division, Patiala.
Ritu Aggarwal, IAS officer from the 2005-batch, who was serving as the Secretary of Cooperation, will be serving as the Secretary, Cooperation along with the additional charge as the Secretary of Punjab State Information Commission against a vacant post.
IAS officer Manjit Singh Brar, from the 2007-batch, who was awaiting his appointment, has been posted as the Commissioner of Faridkot Devision, taking charge from IAS officer Chander Gaind.
IAS officer Puneet Goyal, who was serving as the Special Secretary, Home Affairs and Justice, and was relieved from his additional charge as the Director of Industries and Commerce, has been appointed Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, relieving IAS officer Ghanshyam Thori appointed the Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar, replacing IAS officer Amit Talwar.
IAS officer Varinder Kumar Sharma, was posted as the Special Secretary, Home Affairs & Justice with an additional charge as the Secretary, Punjab State Human Rights Commission, with an additional charge of Nodal Officer, Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign (Department of Home) and Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs. Sharma has been appointed Managing Director, Punjab Health System, with an additional charge as Secretary of Punjab State Human Rights Commission.
IAS officer Shena Aggarwal, who was serving as the Special Secretary, Social Security, Women and Child Development, was appointed the Director of Social Security, Women and Child Development, against a vacant post. She will also hold the additional charge as Special Secretary, Social Security, Women and Child Development.
IAS officer Harpreet Singh Sudan, who was serving as the Director of Sports and Youth Services, will continue in this post, along with holding an additional charge of Director, Technical Education and Industrial Training.
IAS officer Amrit Singh, from the 2014 batch, has been appointed Director Higher Education and additional charge of Director, employment Generation and Training against vacant posts and Secretary of LOKPAL relieving IAS Daljit Singh Mangat from the post.
From the 2016-batch, IAS officer Neeru Katyal Singh has been appointed the Director of Tourism and Cultural Affairs relieving Varinder Kumar Sharma, IAS of this charge.
IAS officer Kamal Kumar Garg, who was serving as the Additional Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, with an additional charge of Additional Secretary, Science, Technology and Environment, will hold the additional charge as Director of MILKFED.
2005-batch PCS officer Sukhjeetpal Singh, who was awaiting orders, has been posted as Additional Secretary, Health and Family Welfare.
2011-batch, PCS officer Jagjit Singh, who was serving as the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Patiala, has been appointed Secretary of the State Election Commission Punjab.
