New Delhi: The final vote count of the state Assembly Elections 2023 in four states have been tallied. The state elections saw BJP win by a major margin in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh. The final results for the state of Mizoram will be declared on Monday, December 4, 2023. As a Christian-majority state, Sunday is considered a special day in the north-eastern state.
Following are the final results of the vote counting:
Rajasthan: According to the current tally, BJP won by a majority of 115 seats, with the requirement of securing a minimum of 100 seats. Congress won 69 seats in the state elections, followed by BSP with 2 seats and other parties winning 13 seats.
Madhya Pradesh: Out of the total 230 seats, BJP won by a majority of 163 seats, Congress won 66 seats and other parties won 1 seat. BSP and SP both failed to secure any seats in the elections. A total of 116 seats were required to secure a win, giving BJP a landslide victory.
Chattisgarh: With the requirement of securing 46 seats out of 90 to secure a win, BJP managed to win 56, 10 more than the minimum requirement. Congress won a total of 33 seats, and other parties won 1 seat. BSP failed to secure a seat in the state elections.
Telangana: A total of 119 seats were available in Telangana, with the requirement of securing 60 seats to win by a majority. Congress won with a majority by securing 64 seats, followed by BRS who secured 39 seats. BJP managed to secure 8 seats in the state, followed by AIMIM who secured 7 seats, and other parties who secured 1 seat.
