New Delhi: IRS officer Swapna Devireddy has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
Devireddy’s appointment was selected under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a tenure of four years, commencing from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Devireddy is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, who belongs to the 2010-batch. The Department of Revenue recommended her for Central deputation, stating, “She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignment in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation.”
