Aizawl: zoram people movement won the state Assembly Elections 2023 in Mizoram by a majority after securing 27 seats, and will be forming a government in the state. Winning 21 seats out of the total of 40 signified as a majority.
Mizo National Front came in second by winning 10 seats, followed by BJP who won 2 seats, and Indian National Congress who won 1 seat.
Mizoram’s vote counting was delayed by one day as Sunday holds a special meaning in the north-eastern state, being a Christian-majority.
Yesterday, the results of the state Assembly Elections 2023 in four states were declared, where BJP won by a majority in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, and Congress won by a majority in Telangana.
