Manesar: Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is expanding the use of its ‘Made in India’ servers to meet the growing needs of Indian customers. This comes after HPE launched its Make in India initiative in July 2023, partnering with Indian manufacturer Voice, Video Data and Network (VVDN) Technologies. The plan involves making about $1 billion worth of high-volume servers in India over the next five years.
HPE and VVDN quickly built a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Manesar, Haryana, which is now fully operational. They’ve focused on automation, control, and quality during the setup process for the past eight months. These ‘Made in India’ HPE servers are made to be useful for many different tasks, helping Indian businesses and organisations improve their IT systems and stay ahead in the digital world.
Som Satsangi, Senior Vice President and Managing Director at HPE India, thanked the government and MeitY for launching the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program. “Their vision in introducing the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program has been instrumental in encouraging OEMs like us to establish a manufacturing footprint in India,” he added.
