New Delhi: Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer Vandita Kaul has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Department of Posts. Kaul is a 1989 batch officer who is currently serving as Member (Banking & Direct Benefit Transfer) of the Postal Services Board in the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications.
Kaul’s appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). She will succeed IPoS Vineet Pandey upon his retirement. She has previously served as the Additional Secretary in the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance.
The Senior bureaucrat has also represented the government as a nominee on the boards of public sector banks such as Bank of India (BoI), as well as financial services institutions like the New India Assurance and the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).
