Mumbai: Benjamin Ambrose has been appointed as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the National Payments Corporation Of India (NPCI). He has over 20 years of experience in information and cyber security.
Ambrose previously served as a Senior Security Consultant at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Singapore and held several positions at Wipro and Citi. He is well-versed in domains like cloud security, audit management, securing digitisation initiatives, information security oversight, technology compliance, and governance. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Bharathiar University.
NPCI is an important part of India’s payment systems, formed through a collaboration between the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Indian Banks Association (IBA), established under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.
