New Delhi, October 13 (APAC Media): Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) and global manufacturing company Jabil have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a proposed 50:50 joint venture in India. The venture aims to manufacture and assemble artificial intelligence (AI) and data centre equipment to meet growing domestic and global demand.
JV to Manufacture AI Racks, Servers, and Cooling Systems
The proposed joint venture will focus on manufacturing and assembling AI racks, servers, storage systems, and networking equipment used in data centres. These racks will house high-performance computing systems that support AI applications and other digital services.
The product portfolio will also include critical infrastructure equipment such as power distribution units, liquid-cooling systems, and transformers, which are essential for powering and cooling high-performance computing infrastructure.
The venture is expected to establish multi-gigawatt AI rack manufacturing capacity, supporting computing systems with a combined power capacity of several gigawatts. It will also provide installation and commissioning services.
India’s Data Centre Capacity Set to Expand
India’s data centre capacity is projected to reach 5–8 gigawatts (GW) by 2030, driven by the rapid adoption of AI, cloud computing, and data localisation requirements. The proposed venture aims to establish a domestic manufacturing base to serve this expanding demand while supporting exports to international markets.
The partnership is expected to strengthen India’s role in the global AI infrastructure supply chain by expanding local manufacturing capabilities for advanced computing and data centre equipment.
