Chennai: Freshworks, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software maker, recently announced the appointment of Dennis Woodside as their new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Founder of Freshworks, Girish Mathrubootham will assume charge as the executive chairman, to focus on long-term product vision, innovation, and AI strategy.
Woodside joined Freshworks as their president in 2022. He has previously held leadership roles in companies like Impossible Foods, Dropbox, and Motorola Mobility. Mathrubootham informed Freshworks’ employees about the leadership change, citing the company’s evolution from a Chennai startup to a global SaaS company listed on Nasdaq.
Mathrubootham established Freshworks in Chennai in 2010, guiding it to becoming a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in 2021.
