IAS Aruna Rajoria receives additional charge as Chairperson, ASOM

Guwahati: IAS officer Aruna Rajoria has been given additional charge as the Chairperson of the Assam Silk Outreach Mission (ASOM). She currently holds several key positions as the Commissioner & Secretary for the Agriculture Department, Information & Public Relations, and Printing & Stationery Departments.

Rajoria, a 2010 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, is also the Agriculture Production Commissioner and the Chairperson of both the State Level Recruitment Commission for Class-III posts and the ARIAS Society.

ASOM, an initiative by the Government of Assam, aims to promote the silk industry in the state. The mission provides several projects and schemes to boost the production of silk, support sericulture farmers, and ensure the global expansion of the silk market.
