New Delhi: ITI Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) valued at Rs 37.5 crore from the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Authority (BREDA) for the installation of solar street light systems.
The contract, awarded to ITI Limited’s Naini unit by DPRO Katihar, includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 2,800 solar streetlight systems, along with a five-year Comprehensive Maintenance Contract (CMC), including remote monitoring. This project, under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Yojana, is worth ₹8.58 crore. An additional LoI worth ₹28.94 crore was also secured by the Naini unit.
BREDA will oversee the installation of the solar street light systems. The major components of these systems include solar PV modules, solar batteries, LED luminaires, mounting structures, and Balance of System (BOS).
