IAS Dr Ravi Kota and IAS Prashant Kumar Singh empanelled to Secretary/Secretary Equivalent level for GoI

New Delhi: IAS officer Dr Ravi Kota, along with IAS officer Prashant Kumar Singh, have been empanelled in the Government of India for Secretary/Secretary Equivalent level positions. This move was made by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).

IAS Dr Ravi Kota is a 1993 batch officer from the Assam cadre, currently serving as the Chief Secretary of Assam. He has previously served as the Additional Chief Secretary for the Home & Political Department, where he was responsible for Passport and Prisons, and the Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises Department. He also managed the Finance Department.

IAS Prashant Kumar is from the Manipur cadre, and belongs to the same batch as Kota. Kumar is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He has previously served as the Principal Secretary and CEO of the Election Department in Manipur. He managed departments like Urban Development, Public Health Engineering, Personnel, and General Administration.
