New Delhi: IAS officer Annies Kanmani Joy has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs. Her tenure, approved by the Department of Personnel and Training, will last for a period of four years, until further orders.
Joy is a 2012-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Karnataka cadre. Born in Kerala, she has a nursing degree from the Trivandrum Medical College. She attained 65th rank in her Civil Services Examinations on her second attempt.
