Telangana transfers 20 District Collectors in a major reshuffle

Hyderabad: The Telangana administration has made a significant change in leadership, moving 20 IAS officers, including district collectors. A Santhi Kumari, the chief secretary, issued the order designating the officers as district collectors.

Nirmal Collector Ashish Sangwan will assume the role of Kamareddy’s new district collector, while Peddapalli Collector Muzammil Khan has been transferred and appointed as the Khammam district collector. Mancherial Collector Badavath Santhosh has been transferred and appointed as the Nagarkurnool district collector. Rahul Sharma, the Vikarabad Additional Collector (Local Bodies), has been appointed to the position of Jayashankar-Bhupalpalli district collector.

Additionally, Sandeep Kumar Jha, Joint Managing Director of Transco, would take over as Rajanna Sircilla’s district collector. As the new district collector of Mahabubnagar, B Vijiendra, Special Secretary to the Roads and Buildings Department, would assume leadership; in Vikarabad, Prateek Jain, ITDA PO, was assigned as the new district collector.
