New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has assigned IRS officer Niraj Kumar as the new director. He is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer from the 2009 batch. The Department of Revenue proposed to him for Central deputation.
Prior to this, Kumar was appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a term of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier as per an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
The order further added, “He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.”
