Ahmedabad: The cut-off scores for NEET-UG and AIAPGET 2024 have been reduced for Ayurveda and Homeopathy courses, as announced by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine and the Ayush Ministry. The eligibility has been lowered by 15 percentile points — now set at 35 percentile for open category candidates and 25 percentile for reserved category candidates.
This adjustment aims to fill vacant seats in traditional medicine programs, with Gujarat still having 84 seats open for Ayurveda and 59 for Homeopathy. The registration for these seats has been reopened, allowing new candidates to apply until January 19, with document verification set for January 20.
Candidates who were previously registered but now meet the new cut-off don’t need to register again. However, those who already qualified earlier cannot join this round of admissions. Additionally, the committee noted that there are no vacancies left in private colleges under the all-India quota.
This move is expected to boost admissions and ensure that more students can join these traditional medicine programs.
