Noida: Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has installed Cashless Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) at all Aqua Line stations to simplify the ticket-buying process. The new machines, launched on NMRC’s 10th Foundation Day, allow commuters to pay via UPI, eliminating the need for cash.
With 88 machines placed across 21 stations, NMRC aims to reduce long queues and speed up ticket purchases. Major stations like Sector-51 have 15 machines, while busy spots like Pari Chowk and Knowledge Park-II each have eight. The machines offer QR-based tickets for single, return, and group travel, catering to different passenger needs.
This move is part of NMRC’s efforts to make commuting smoother and reduce crowding at ticket counters, especially during rush hours. By focusing on cashless transactions, NMRC hopes to improve the overall experience for Aqua Line passengers.
