Bhubaneshwar: The government of Odisha has announced a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, under which it has assigned new postings to several IAS officers.
According to the official notification, IAS Girish SN (2002 batch) has been appointed as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water (P.R. & D.W.) Department.
The list of other transfers includes:
- IAS Deoranjan Kumar Singh (1993 batch), presently the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue & Disaster Management Department, will retain his additional charge as Chairman of the Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC).Â
- IAS Vishal Kumar Dev (1996 batch), currently serving as the Principal Secretary in the Electronics & IT Department, will continue to hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary of the Energy Department.Â
- IAS Sanjay Kumar Singh (1997 batch), presently serving as the Principal Secretary of the Rural Development Department, has been allowed to remain in charge of the Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department.Â
- IAS Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma (1999 batch), Principal Secretary of the Sports & Youth Services Department, will continue to hold the additional role as CMD of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL).
- IAS Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar (2008 batch), currently the Special Secretary in the P.R. & D.W. Department, has been made Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government, Handloom, Textiles & Handicrafts Department. She will also continue on the additional charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary in the Excise Department.
