Mumbai: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has appointed Sibaji Biswas as its new Chief Financial Officer, starting in January 2025. Biswas will focus on driving the company’s financial strategies and improving efficiency across its TV and digital platforms.
With over 20 years of experience, Biswas previously worked at Syngene International, where he helped double the company’s revenue and significantly increased its market value. He also led projects to streamline supply chains and introduce digital changes.
Before his time at Syngene, Biswas held several key roles at Vodafone, including CFO of Vodafone Romania. He was part of Vodafone’s senior team and worked on growth strategies across different markets, including India.
SPNI’s CEO, Gaurav Banerjee, highlighted Biswas’ financial expertise as a strong asset for the company’s future plans, especially as they aim to grow and enhance viewer experiences.
This move signals SPNI’s focus on strengthening its leadership as it gears up for new challenges and opportunities in the media industry.
