Odisha Govt. reshuffles 50 IPS Officers; IPS Sanjeeb Panda made ADG training & director, BPSPA

Bhubaneshwar: The Odisha Government has ordered the transfers of as many as 50 officers of the Indian Police Service across the state. This includes Bhubaneshwar’s Police Commissioner, IPS Sanjeeb Panda, who has been transferred and posted as the Additional Director General of Police (ADG) of the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA). In his place, IPS S. Dev Datta Singh (1998 batch) has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Bhubaneshwar and Cuttack.

Besides these, the list of other prominent transfers includes:

IPS Saumendra Priyadarsi (1995 batch) has been appointed as the ADG modernization.
IPS Arun Bothra (1996 batch) has been given the charge of ADG railways and coastal security. He was previously the ADG of the crime branch and has been replaced by IPS Vinaytosh Misra (1993 batch).
IPS Prateek Singh has been made the Superintendent of Police (SP), Cuttack (rural).
IPS Pinak Mishra (2011 batch) has been posted as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Bhubaneshwar. He is currently the SP of Puri. He will be replaced by IPS Vinit Agrawal who is serving as the SP of Jajpur presently.
IPS Jagmohan Meena (2013 batch) has been made the DCP of Cuttack.
IPS Uma Shankar Dash, presently the SP of Angul, has become the new Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Bhubaneshwar-Cuttack.
IPS RP Koche has become Director of Intelligence. He previously served as the ADG (special armed police).
IPS JN Pankaj has taken over as the Inspector General of Police (IG) of operations. He previously held the post of IG (Economic Offences Wing & Special Task Force).
IPS Anup Sahoo has become the IG training and BPSPA.
IPS Officer Arun Ray, who was previously the director of the printing press, has been made director of prisons. His place as the director of the printing press will taken over by IPS SM Narvane who is currently the Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Home Department.
IPS Saravana Vivek M has been reinstated as the SP of Berhampur.
IPS Sagarika Nath, who is currently the SP of Balasore, has been posted as Khurda SP.
