Thermax names Santanu Chaudhuri as its Chief Technology Officer

Pune: Thermax Limited, an energy and environment solutions provider company, recently appointed Santanu Chaudhuri as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and member of the Senior Management team. In this capacity, Santanu is expected to spearhead Thermax’s focus on advancing sustainable energy solutions and enhance the company’s technical capabilities across its diverse portfolio.

Santanu brings more than 27 years of global experience in materials science, advanced materials engineering, and computational chemistry. Prior to joining Thermax, Chaudhuri was a Professor of Civil, Materials, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago. Additionally,  he held a joint position at the Argonne National Laboratory, where he led the Computational Materials and Manufacturing Program. He has a PhD in Materials and Computational Chemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He also holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemical Engineering from SAJ College, Calcutta.

With the new leadership, Thermax aims to strengthen its R&D efforts, drive technological advancements, and maintain a competitive edge in the global market.
