Larsen & Toubro appoints Gopi Thangavel as Group CIO

Mumbai: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has appointed Gopi Thangavel as the new Group Chief Infomation Officer (CIO). He brings extensive experience of over two decades in driving advanced IT and digital strategies across various industries.

Prior to this appointment, Thangavel served as the Senior Vice President at Reliance Industries Limited where he played an important role in implementing strategic IT solutions. Additionally, he managed large complex IT infrastructure, security operations, and other projects.

In his new role at L&T, Thangavel will lead the company’s digital transformation initiatives and focus on enhancing operational efficiency, cyber security, and IT strategy. His appointment is expected to bolster L&T’s executive leadership and advance the digital integration journey of the company.
