One of the key features of JANANI is the introduction of QR-enabled digital Mother and Child Health (MCH) cards, which will make health records digitally accessible across healthcare facilities.
Real-Time Monitoring for High-Risk Pregnancies
The platform also includes automated alerts for high-risk pregnancies, real-time monitoring dashboards, and due-list tracking to ensure that critical healthcare services are delivered on time.
JANANI has been integrated with national digital health platforms such as U-WIN and POSHAN to improve coordination between different healthcare and nutrition programmes.Â
Beneficiaries can register on the platform through their ABHA, Aadhaar, or mobile numbers. The system also includes a pan-India search facility, which will help maintain continuity of healthcare for migratory populations.
Over 1.34 Crore Beneficiaries Registered
According to the Health Ministry, JANANI has already recorded over 1.34 crore beneficiary registrations, including more than 30 lakh registrations of pregnant women.Â
Over 30 lakh digital MCH cards have been generated so far, while more than one lakh biometric verifications have also been completed.
Officials said the launch of JANANI marks an important step towards improving healthcare access, digital monitoring, and service delivery for mothers and children.
