Pune: Schaeffler India has announced the appointment of Shibi Mathew as the Head of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In this capacity, Mathew will spearhead key HR functions and CSR initiatives for Schaeffler India as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. This leadership change reflects the company’s commitment to driving people-focused strategies and strengthening its CSR initiatives.
Mathew brings more than 22 years of extensive experience in strategic and operational HR to Schaeffler India, having held key positions in global corporations across various industries. Before joining Schaeffler, she served as the Head of Human Resources and Admin (India) at MAHLE. Her expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and fostering inclusive work environments is expected to play a key role in enhancing Schaeffler India’s people-first approach and advancing its CSR agenda.
Harsha Kadam, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Schaeffler India, expressed delight at Shibi Mathew’s appointment to the leadership team. He noted that Mathew’s extensive experience and expertise in fostering a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and agility align seamlessly with Schaeffler’s vision. Kadam stated that Mathew’s leadership in HR and CSR is expected to contribute significantly to the company’s employee-centric approach and its goals of sustainable growth and innovation in motion technology.

Mathew is a graduate of Pune University holding a master’s degree in Personnel Management. In addition, she has also earned a Diploma in Labour Law (2002) and a Diploma in Executive Leadership CORE, specializing in Business Analytics, Financial Accounting, and Economics (2020).
