Kolkata: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the government of West Bengal has announced the transfers and fresh postings of 6 Indian Administrative Service Officers and one officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS).
According to the official orders, IAS Roshni Sen (1993 batch), previously the Additional Chief Secretary of the Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources, and Fishing Harbour Development Department, has been given additional responsibilities and appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Environment Department.
The list of other IAS transfers includes:
IAS Jagdish Prasad Meena (2004 batch) has been posted as Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms. Additionally, he will also serve as the Member Secretary of the Pollution Control Board and Divisional Commissioner, Presidency Division. He was last serving as the Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, with additional charges of Secretary for the Correctional Administration Department and Divisional Commissioner of the Presidency Division.
IAS Yeluchuri Ratnakara Rao (2006 batch), who was the Secretary of the Health & Family Welfare Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Non-Conventional & Renewable Energy Sources Department.
IAS Shashank Sethi (2010 batch), formerly the Managing Director of the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited, has been now appointed as the Managing Director of the West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBHIDCO).
IAS Abhishek Kumar Tiwari (2012 batch), last posted as the Special Secretary in the Health & Family Welfare Department, will now take charge as the Managing Director of the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited, with an additional charge of Director of Tourism.
IAS Vivek Kumar (2016 batch), previously serving as the Joint Secretary of the Agriculture Department, has been posted to the Health & Family Welfare Department in an undisclosed capacity.
Besides these IAS postings, the government has transferred IPS Dr. Rajesh Kumar (1990 batch) from his previous role as Principal Secretary of the Environment Department and now posted as Principal Secretary of the Correctional Administration Department. He also held additional charge as the Member Secretary of the Pollution Control Board.
