New Delhi: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has partnered with Refroid Technologies to introduce India’s first indigenously developed liquid coolant for AI-driven and sovereign data centers. This innovation marks a significant milestone in enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability in India’s expanding digital infrastructure.
Role of the liquid coolant
Data centers, crucial to the digital economy, consume vast amounts of energy and generate substantial heat. The newly developed liquid coolant by BPCL and Refroid Technologies offers an advanced solution that improves cooling efficiency, lowers power usage effectiveness (PUE), and reduces carbon emissions.
The indigenous liquid coolant significantly reduces PUE, making data centers more cost-effective and sustainable. It enables higher computing density per rack than conventional air-cooled systems. Designed to perform efficiently in varied climate conditions, the coolant aligns with India’s clean energy and sustainability goals. Furthermore, it supports high-performance AI applications and sovereign data infrastructure.
