New Delhi: i-merit, the flagship program of Scholars Merit Online Pvt. Ltd., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SRM Institute of Science & Technology (SRMIST), Delhi-NCR Campus, to introduce a range of skill development programs at the institute aimed at enhancing students’ employability.
These programs will include short-term courses of 120 hours as well as comprehensive training modules spanning 12 to 25 weeks, offering a structured approach to industry-relevant learning.
This collaboration is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, equipping students with the technical and soft skills necessary to secure job opportunities in today’s competitive job market.
Industry-Aligned Learning with i-merit Nova Courses
The i-merit Nova courses will be seamlessly integrated into the i-merit Accelerate and Elevate programs, providing students with hands-on, practical training aligned with real-world industry needs.
Nancy D, Chief Business Officer at Scholars Merit Pvt. Ltd., emphasized the importance of skill-based training, stating that academic degrees provide foundational knowledge but often lack the practical exposure needed for professional success.
She added that through partnerships like this, i-merit aims to empower over 50,000 students by December 2025 by offering industry-aligned training that enhances employability.
SRMIST’s Commitment to Industry-Ready Learning
Prof R P Mahapatra, Dean of SRMIST, Delhi-NCR Campus, highlighted the importance of equipping students with skills that align with industry expectations.
He stated that this partnership with i-merit will significantly boost the employability index of students, ensuring they acquire the necessary competencies to excel in their careers.
Expanding Skill Development Initiatives Across India
This collaboration follows i-merit’s recent partnership with the Sri Sai Group of Institutes, where over 300 students are currently enrolled in i-merit Nova courses.
With a vision to partner with 100 colleges and impact 50,000 students, i-merit is expanding its footprint in skill development across India, ensuring that graduates are better equipped to meet the evolving demands of the job market.
