Mumbai: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Maharashtra government transferred several senior officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS). The move aims to enhance efficiency and strengthen law enforcement across various departments, including law and order, cyber security, and economic offences. Notably, 1996-batch IPS officer Nikhil Gupta has been appointed as the Additional Director General (ADG) of Law and Order.
The list of other notable transfers includes:
IPS Suresh Mekhla – Appointed as ADG (Economic Offences Wing).
IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma (2005 batch) – Appointed as Inspector General of Police (IGP) (Law and Order) after returning from Central deputation.
IPS Yashasvi Yadav (2000 batch) – Elevated to ADG (Maharashtra Cyber).
IPS Suhas Warke (2000 batch) – Promoted as ADG (Prisons).
IPS Aswathi Dorje – Promoted to ADG (Prevention of Atrocities against Women and Children).
IPS Chhering Dorje – Promoted as ADG (Special Operations) from IGP (Law and Order).
IPS KMM Prasanna – Promoted as ADG (Administration) from IGP (Establishment).
IPS R B Dahale – Transferred as Special IGP of the Pune-based State Crime Records Centre.
IPS Ashok Morale – Appointed as IGP of the Motor Transport Section in Pune, formerly IGP of SRPF.
IPS Rajiv Jain – Promoted to IG (SRPF).
IPS Abhishek Trimukhe – Appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police (North Region), Mumbai.
IPS Shrenik Lodha – Transferred as Additional SP in Buldhana from Aheri, Gadchiroli.
The reshuffle is expected to bring fresh momentum to law enforcement and improve policing across Maharashtra.
