Chennai: In a major bureaucratic overhaul, the Tamil Nadu government has transferred and reassigned 15 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across the state, including two senior officers. The move aims to improve administrative efficiency, enhance law enforcement, and streamline police operations.
As per the official order, IPS Ayush Mani Tiwari (1997 batch), has been transferred and appointed as Additional Director-General of Police (ADGP), State Crime Record Bureau (SCRB), Chennai. He is currently holding the position of ADGP and is stationed on vacancy reserve at the Office of the Director General of Police/Head of Police Force (DGP/HoPF) in Chennai.
The other senior IPS officer who has been transferred is IPS H. M. Jayaram (1996 batch), who has been moved from ADGP, SCRB, Chennai to ADGP, Armed Police, Chennai.

Balaji (2009 batch), currently serving as SP/Assistant IG, Welfare under the Office of the Director General of Police (DGP), has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Redhills, Avadi Police Commissionerate. He takes over from Dr. K. S. Bala Krisshnan, the outgoing DCP of Avadi, who has been transferred to SP/Assistant IG, Welfare, O/o DGP/HoPF.
IPS S. Brinda (2019 batch) – Transferred from DCP, North Salem City to SP/Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police, Regimental Centre, Avadi.
