Indore: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) inaugurated its new Software Development Centre at Sinhasa IT Park, Indore, in a ceremony graced by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav. The event was also attended by Manoj Jain, CMD, BEL; Rajnish Sharma, Director (Bangalore Complex); and Durga, Executive Director, Software.
The centre will focus on developing artificial intelligence (AI)-based technologies, web-based quality inspection systems, and Industry 4.0 solutions, aligning with India’s digital transformation and defense modernisation goals. It will also support the advanced technological needs of the Indian Armed Forces, enhancing BEL’s role as a strategic electronics partner for national security.
BEL, established in 1954, is a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Renowned for its advanced electronic products and systems, BEL primarily serves the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Over the years, it has also expanded its expertise into key areas such as homeland security, smart city solutions, and civilian applications, reinforcing its role as a strategic technology partner for national development and security.
