Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has issued transfer orders for 21 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across various ranks and districts. Among the prominent transfers, Shaurya Chakra Awardee and 2016 batch IPS Somay Munde has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
IPS Munde, previously the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Latur, was honoured with the Shaurya Chakra for exemplary leadership in a crucial anti-Naxal operation.

- IPS Jayant Meena: Replaces Somay Munde as SP, Latur (from ATS)
