Jaipur: Getepay, a Jaipur-based fintech startup, has received final authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as an Online Payment Aggregator (PA) under the central bank’s regulatory framework.
With this initiative, Getepay becomes the first fintech firm from Rajasthan to secure the license.
Enabling Over 1.5 Million Merchants
Since its inception, Getepay has onboarded more than 1.5 million merchants, ranging from Kirana stores and small manufacturers to educational institutions and service providers.
Its mission is focused on simplifying digital payments for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly in underserved markets.
Expansion with RBI Approval
The RBI’s approval paves the way for Getepay to scale its operations nationally, strengthen its product suite, and further its mission of driving financial inclusion.
The company is prioritising outreach in Tier two and three cities, as well as rural regions, aiming to bring millions of businesses onto a unified digital commerce platform.
Key Initiatives:
- Merchant Enablement: Launch of tools like digital storefronts, inventory management, GST billing, and business solutions tailored for micro-entrepreneurs.
- MSME Formalisation: Plans to digitally formalise over 10 million micro and small enterprises, boosting productivity and economic participation.
- Job Creation: Expansion of agent networks and support teams is expected to create thousands of jobs across India.
- Inclusive Growth: Special focus on onboarding women-led enterprises and rural entrepreneurs.
