Kolkata, Apr 27, (APAC Media): The Election Commission will be utilising drones for surveillance around polling booths in Kolkata and surroundings on April 29.
Additional CCTV cameras will be installed on all roads leasing to the polling booths.
The Election Commission will also deploy additional body cameras for the Central Armed Police Forces personnel.
The drones will send inputs to Lalbazar control room for quick response. These could also take footage of any troubles.
Kolkata Police will also use aerial surveillance through drones to monitor narrow lanes.
Most of the drones will.be deployed in Kolkata, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Howrah and Hooghly.
