Jaipur: In a strategic move to strengthen law enforcement across key districts, the Rajasthan government has issued transfer and posting orders for four Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including IPS Lokesh Sonewal.
The reshuffle involves the appointment of new Superintendents of Police (SPs) in three districts, alongside a key position in the Jodhpur Police Commissionerate. According to the official order from the Rajasthan government, IPS Lokesh Sonewal (2015), who was serving as SP, Special Operations Group (SOG), Jaipur, has been appointed as the new SP of Jhunjhunu.
The list of other transfers is as follows:
- IPS Shailendra Singh Indolyia (2017 batch), who was awaiting posting, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Headquarters and Traffic, Police Commissionerate, Jodhpur.
- IPS Hari Shankar (2019 batch), previously SP of Balotra, has been transferred and will now serve as the SP of Hanumangarh.
- IPS Amit Jain (2020 batch), who held the role of DCP, Headquarters & Traffic at Jodhpur Police Commissionerate, will now take charge as SP of Balotra.
This reshuffle aims to enhance the operational efficiency and responsiveness of the Rajasthan Police, with a focus on reinforcing law and order in crucial regions.
