Noida, Oct 1 (APAC Media): Prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders were increased from Thursday, October 1, with the latest revision raising the cost of cooking fuel for restaurants, hotels, caterers and other commercial establishments across several cities.
The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been increased by Rs 62.50, taking it from Rs 2,747.50 in September to Rs 2,810, according to the latest revision.
In Mumbai, the price has risen from Rs 63 to Rs 2,764 per cylinder. Chennai has witnessed an increase of Rs 66.50, taking the price of a commercial cylinder to Rs 2,983.
Patna recorded the highest increase among the cities mentioned, with the price rising by Rs 71.50 to Rs 3,100.50 from Rs 3,029 previously.

In Lucknow, commercial LPG is now priced at Rs 2,932.51 after an increase of Rs 62.50. The revised price in Ahmedabad stands at Rs 2,831.51, while consumers in Kanyakumari will have to pay Rs 3,046.
The price in Tawang has increased to Rs 3,073.60.
The latest hike follows a Rs 9.51 increase in commercial LPG prices in September. Commercial cylinder prices had earlier been reduced in July and August before the upward revisions in the subsequent months.
The increase in commercial LPG prices is expected to add to operating costs for businesses that depend on LPG for cooking and other commercial activities. Restaurants, food outlets, caterers and hospitality establishments that consume multiple cylinders could see a corresponding rise in their monthly fuel expenses.
However, the latest revision does not affect household consumers using 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders.
The domestic LPG cylinder price in Delhi remains unchanged at Rs 942. In Mumbai, the price continues to be Rs 941.50, while consumers in Chennai will continue to pay Rs 957.50.
In Lucknow, a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains priced at Rs 979.50, while the rate in Patna stands at Rs 1,031.50.
Commercial LPG prices are revised periodically based on factors including international LPG prices and currency movements.
Domestic LPG prices, meanwhile, are also influenced by government policy and pricing measures.
The latest revision comes ahead of the festive season, when commercial establishments, particularly those in the food and hospitality sectors, generally see increased activity.
The unchanged domestic LPG rates provide relief to household consumers, while the increase in commercial cylinder prices is likely to be closely watched by businesses as they assess their operating expenses during the festive period.
The prices of LPG cylinders are revised by oil marketing companies as part of their periodic pricing exercise, with commercial and domestic cylinders subject to separate pricing considerations.
