New Delhi: The Centre has appointed IAS Yogendra Singh as private secretary to Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh. A formal notification from the General Administration Department marked his central deputation from his current post as Director of Secondary Education in Bihar’s Education Department
Singh is a 2013 batch IAS officer belonging to the Bihar cadre. According to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet and the Department of Personnel Training (DoPT), his tenure will align with the minister’s office, effective from the date he assumes charge or until further orders. The shift signals a strategic elevation from state-level service to an important role in the Union Government, supporting the Union Minister’s administrative functions.
