Gurugram: India’s largest Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal has been recently inaugurated at Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar facility.
This terminal is expected to significantly enhance freight capacity and industrial logistics.
This terminal significantly boosts logistics efficiency for automobile transportation, with a capacity of 4.5 lakh vehicles per year.
The project involves an investment of Rs 800 crore. Haryana Railway Infrastructure Development Corporation (HRIDC) contributed Rs 684 crore, with Maruti Suzuki funding the remainder.
This Gati Shakti facility is linked to Patli railway station via a 10 km dedicated rail corridor. It is part of the 121.7 km Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor developed by HRIDC.
Currently, infrastructure projects worth Rs 11,800 crore are being executed in Haryana. This includes redevelopment of 34 stations and construction of 540 road overbridges and underpasses.
