New Delhi: The central government has announced the appointment of senior IPS Anil Shukla as the new Special CP, Intelligence and Perception Management in the Delhi Police.Â
Shukla is an officer from the 1996 batch from the AGMUT cadre. Before this appointment, he was serving as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He has also served as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Mizoram and repatriated to his cadre in June this year.Â
Throughout his career, Shukla has held several important posts. He served in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as Inspector General on Central Deputation for 6 years, from 2015 to April 2021. He cracked and filed the charge sheet in the Pulwama terror attack case against the CRPF. Additionally, he arrested and charge-sheeted key Hurriyat leaders in the Jammu and Kashmir terror funding case. He also investigated the LoC trade case and exposed the narco-arms-terror funding nexus and handled the explosives case near Mukesh Ambani’s home in Mumbai, linked to Sachin Waze.
Shukla holds a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Post-Graduation in Police Management, and Masters in Public Policy & Management.Â
