Jammu: In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir government has transferred four officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS). As per the official notification, IPS Sujit Kumar (2007 batch), currently serving as the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Security, has been assigned additional charge as the IGP, Crime.
Meanwhile, IPS Dr. Sunil Gupta (2007 batch) has been relieved from his role as IGP, Crime, and will be posted outside the union territory on a new assignment.
The other two appointments include
- IPS Vinod Kumar (2011 batch), previously serving as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Armed Jammu, has been transferred and posted as DIG IRP, Jammu.
- IPS Sameer Sharma (2011 batch), previously awaiting posting, has now been appointed DIG Armed Jammu.
These transfers aim to streamline policing and security across the state.Â
