UP Govt Transfers Eight IAS Officers; IAS Selva Kumari J Made Director General, Technical Education

Lucknow: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government has transferred eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Accordingly, IAS Selva Kumari J (2006 batch) has been appointed Director General of Technical Education.

She previously served as the Secretary, Planning Department and Director General, Finance and Statistics. 

The list of other transfers includes

• IAS Sameer Verma (2002 batch), awaiting posting, has been made the new Secretary of the Planning Department and Director General of the Finance and Statistics Department.
• IAS Prabhu Narain Singh (2007 batch), previously on the waiting list, has been named the Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC).
• IAS Masoom Ali Sarvar (2009 batch), previously MD, UPSRTC, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sunni Central Waqf Board.
• IAS Ashish Kumar (2015 batch), previously the Special Secretary, Stamps and Registration Department; Additional Inspector General of Registration, has taken charge as Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation.
• IAS Sudhir Kumar (2018 batch), previously Municipal Commissioner, Kanpur Nagar, has been appointed Special Secretary, Stamps and Registration Department; Additional Inspector General of Registration.
• IAS Arpit Upadhyay (2018 batch), previously Chief Development Officer (CDO), Rae Bareilly, has been appointed the new Municipal Commissioner of Kanpur Nagar.
• IAS Anju Lata (promotee IAS officer, 2008 batch), previously Secretary of the Moradabad Development Authority, has been appointed the new CDO of Rae Bareilly.
