New Delhi: IndianOil’s Refineries Division has partnered with the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) to launch a major skill development initiative under its CSR program.
The agreement was signed at the Refineries Headquarters in the presence of Arvind Kumar, Director (Refineries), IndianOil, and Prof. Dr. Shishir Sinha, Director General, CIPET, along with senior officials.
Training for 280 Youth
The new residential program will train 280 young candidates in machine operations related to the plastic processing industry. With demand rising in the plastics manufacturing sector, the initiative aims to equip youth with skills that improve employability and provide stable livelihood opportunities.
Nationwide Implementation
The program will be implemented through IndianOil’s Mathura Refinery, Guwahati Refinery, and the Refineries Headquarters, in coordination with CIPET centers located in Lucknow, Guwahati, and Murthal. Trainees will gain practical experience, technical knowledge, and exposure to industry operations.

IndianOil expects the initiative to play a role in national capacity building by producing skilled manpower that meets the growing needs of India’s petrochemicals and manufacturing sector.
