Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has promoted six Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the 2013 batch to the Selection Grade, equivalent to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) rank.Â
Two officers are currently serving in Jharkhand, while four are on central deputation. Officers posted outside the state have received proforma promotions, which allow them to gain grade benefits without changing their present assignment.
List of promoted officers includes:
- IPS Hrideep P Janardanan, SP, Special Branch, Jharkhand
- IPS Nidhi Dwivedi, SP, Pakur, Jharkhand
- IPS Harilal Chauhan, Assistant Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration
- IPS Anshuman Kumar, Joint Deputy Director, Intelligence Bureau
- IPS Prashant Anand, SP, National Investigation Agency
- IPS Priyanka Meena, SP, National Crime Records Bureau
The promoted officers are expected to take on greater operational and administrative responsibilities in their respective postings.
