New Delhi: Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday inaugurated the newly constructed Bhavishya Nidhi Bhawan of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Regional Office at Vatva in Gujarat.
During the event, Mandaviya announced a series of nationwide reforms aimed at strengthening EPFO’s service delivery and accessibility.
He said EPFO offices across the country are being redeveloped into modern, technology-enabled, single-window service centres on the lines of passport seva kendras, allowing beneficiaries to resolve their provident fund-related issues at any regional office. A pilot for this initiative is currently underway in Delhi.
To support workers unfamiliar with digital systems, Mandaviya said the government will introduce EPF Suvidha Providers as authorised facilitators. He also highlighted plans for mission-mode KYC verification of inactive accounts and a dedicated digital platform for simplified claim settlement.
The Vatva EPFO office serves over 7,000 establishments and nearly four lakh members across six districts of Gujarat.
