ACC Gives Nod to IRS M. Anitha’s Appointment as Director, Department of Defence

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of IRS M Anitha, IRS (2007 batch), as Director in the Department of Defence under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Anitha was recommended for the post by the Civil Services Board (CSB) and will be appointed on a lateral shift basis from the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), where she currently serves as Director. Her appointment will take effect from the date she assumes charge of the post.

As per the order, Anitha will serve in the new role in the Department of Defence for a tenure up to September 26, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This will complete the balance period of her five-year deputation tenure at the Director level under the Central Staffing Scheme.
